Tigers Post Strong Showing At The Perfect Game World Series In Savannah

The Tigers defeated a familiar foe in the Charlotte area Renegades and avenged a fall 2021 loss to the Orangeburg SC River Hawks during the playoffs of the Perfect Game World Series this past June. The top 4 finish was highlighted by a stellar pitching performance by Alex Carter to cruise past the Renegades 7-1, an explosive hitting display lead by Giovanni Luisa to pull away from the River Hawks 11-4, and a thriller winning in walk off fashion 11-10 to eliminate DKSA Elite of GA.  

The Tigers battled through 9 games in 5 days withstanding the grueling 100 degree Savanna GA  heat. The opportunistic bunch stole a tournament high 40 bases and landed 5 players on the all tournament team in Giovanni Luisa, Alex Carter, Roman Misiak, Sam Wright and John Gargano. Its top defenders were Center Fielder Alex Thomas, Second Baseman Micha Crenshaw, First Baseman Collin Keith, Carter (Catcher), (Right Fielder) Damaurion Carter,  Luisa (Short Stop), and Gargano (Left Field) were also impressive with the glove. 

The Tigers have wrapped the 2022 season after a fall trip to the Ripken Experience at Myrtle Beach SC. In 2023 it will return to the PG World Series that will played at the Boombah Complex in Sanford Florida June 8th - June 13th after opening the season at Charleston SC's main attraction "The Shipyard" for wood bat competition.

The Tigers will hold 2023 14u Tryouts on November 5th at Julius Chambers High School Charlotte NC at 4pm.
